Delete your TallyTab account
TallyTab is made by Datavise Limited, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC817715). This page explains how to delete your TallyTab account and everything stored in it.
Option 1: delete it yourself in the app
This is immediate and needs no request to us.
- Open the TallyTab app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Account & data.
- Under Delete account, tap Delete account.
- Confirm when asked. This cannot be undone.
We first revoke any open banking access at our provider, then erase your login identity and all your data. If any part of that fails, nothing is deleted and you are told. You are never left half-deleted.
Option 2: ask us to delete it
If you cannot get into the app, email privacy@tallytab.co.uk from the address on your account, asking us to delete your TallyTab account. We will verify it is you and complete the deletion within one month, as UK data protection law requires.
What is deleted
Deleting your account deletes your login identity itself. Every table in our database is linked to that identity with an automatic cascade, so all of the following go with it:
- Your profile: name, email address and app settings.
- Bank connections, and the access we hold at our open banking provider (revoked at the provider first, then erased).
- All accounts, whether connected or added by hand, and their balance history.
- All transactions, along with any categories and notes you added.
- Stock and crypto holdings, including cost basis.
- Budgets, goals, category rules, alerts and regular payments.
- Your net worth history.
- Push notification tokens for your devices.
There is no "soft delete". Nothing is hidden and retained.
What is kept, and for how long

| Subscription and accounting records | As long as UK tax and accounting law requires, typically six years. This is the minimum needed for those records, not your financial data. |
Before you delete
- Get your data out first if you want it. Email privacy@tallytab.co.uk and we will send a full machine-readable copy of your data, free, within one month.
- Cancel a TallyTab Plus subscription separately. Deleting your account does not cancel store billing. Cancel it in Google Play (or the App Store) as well.
